libpackagekit-glib2-dev software package provides Library for accessing PackageKit using GLib (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpackagekit-glib2-dev
libpackagekit-glib2-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpackagekit-glib2-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpackagekit-glib2-dev *
You will get with libpackagekit-glib2-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
